Competitions

The Israel Athletics Association is recognized in Israel by the Ministry of Sport and the International Association of Athletics Federations for organizing and holding athletics competitions in Israel. Consequently, the association operates to hold the national championships in athletics in Israel and various competitions among the different athletics associations in the country.

During the competition season, the association organizes about 11 national championships in various disciplines and age groups. The Israeli Athletics Championships for adults, held every summer, is the main competition of the association each year.

In addition, the association is responsible for road races. Any road race held in Israel that seeks official recognition of its results and international recognition requires the association's approval after checking the course and approving it according to IAA standards.
